Deborah Ann Lane

Deborah Ann Webb Lane, 77, of Smithfield, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, August 7, 2026. She was the daughter of the late James Garland Webb and Myrtle Virginia Blanks Webb. Deborah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Dennis M. Lane; daughters, Michele A. Lane and Amber L. Epps (Jordan); grandchildren, Emma June Epps and James Jordan Epps; sisters, Carolyn Harvey and Marolyn Anderson.

Deborah loved fiercely and treasured every moment that she was able to spend with her family and friends. She found joy in the simple things in life – sitting on the deck, watching the hummingbirds from her kitchen table, cross-stitching, crocheting and spending time outdoors. However, she was happiest when surrounded by her family, and her love for them will continue to live on through the memories they shared.

A funeral service will be held on Friday August 14, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield, VA, with burial to follow in Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, VA. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
