Daniel Lee Wells, Sr

Daniel Lee Wells Sr, 79, passed away on April 28, 2018. Dan was the son of the late Nollie Lee and Louise Joyner Wells. He was a veteran of the U S Army and retired from Smithfield Foods after 47 years to day. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Audrey Virginia Owens Wells, sons Daniel Lee Wells, Jr ( Celeste) and David Allen Wells (Tilly), grandchildren Dustin, Christin, Hannah, Henry, Hesley and Halaina, and great grandson Jacob, sisters Ellen Seymour (Don) and Alice Joyner (Sonny) and brother in law James W. Jones. Dan was preceded in death by two brothers Clyde Monroe Wells and Benjamin Wells and a sister Pearl Jones. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 5, 2018 at 2 p.m. in Smithfield Baptist Church, burial will be private in Mill Swamp Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the Family Life Center at Smithfield Baptist. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Smithfield Baptist Church Building Fund, 100 Wainwright Drive, Smithfield, VA 23430.
