Carol Jean Kelly

Carol Jean Kelly, 82, of Surry, Va, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025. She was the daughter of the late David Long Morgan and Edith Burrows Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Hayden Thomas Kelly and a son, Michael Kevin Kelly. She is survived by her daughters, Maureen Ann Massetti (Dean) and Kerry Lynn Starcher (Shaun); grandchildren, Michael (Kat), Steven (Cara), Christina (John), Brittany, Brett (Kelsey) and Taylor (Jamie); great grandchildren, Mia, Lucas, Charlotte, Victor, Easton, Hunter, Cruz and Brady; and a sister, Ruth Assenmacher (Mike).

Carol was a proud Air Force veteran and a devout member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

A Catholic Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday May 17, 2025, 11 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 300 Smithfield Blvd, Smithfield, VA. Burial will take place at a later date at Albert G Horton, Jr. Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, VA.
