Carmen Ester Colon

November 27, 1936 — June 13, 2025

Carmen Ester Colon, 88, of Brooksville, FL, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Miguel Colon and Amalia Garcia. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Albin Irizarry Ramos; two sons, Alvin Irizarry Jr, and Kenneth Irizarry; and two brothers, Fico Colon and Felix Gonzalez. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Irizarry (Greg) and Eileen Irizarry; grandchildren, Jerame (Shaina), Miranda, Yvonne, Eric (Kara), Eliza and Charlotte; sisters, Hilda Alvarez, Carmen Delia Hernandez and Iris Santiago (Jose); and a brother, Robert Gonzalez (Brenda).

Carmen’s giggles and smiles lit up every room. Her unfiltered opinions and comical spirit often turned the mundane into the extraordinary, as she often spoke the thoughts others dared not voice.

Carmen had an unwavering love for nature. She loved flowers, plants and animals. Her spirit yearning for the outdoors, even if it was just a leisurely car ride through the countryside. This love earned her the affectionate nickname, “Hot Foot.”

Always adorned with lipstick when she left her home, and often suggesting others do the same, she left a lasting impression wherever she went.

Though she may no longer be with us, her playful essence and fearless authenticity will forever echo in our hearts.

Rest in peace, mom/Beela /sister. We love you and will miss you forever.

She will be interred at a later date with her husband in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fl. Online condolences may be registered at www.littlesfuneralhome.com
