Brian Christopher Clements

Brian Christopher Clements, age 53, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026. He was born in Newport News, Virginia, and spent his childhood and teenage years in Smithfield, Virginia. He most recently resided in Roswell, Georgia. True to his personality, he was surrounded by good friends the night he passed away and enjoying an annual camping trip that had become a fun tradition for he and his friends. In addition to being a good friend to many, he was a beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and fiancée who was loved and will be truly missed by all of us. He graduated from Clemson in 1994 with a degree in finance, and this was followed by a successful career that took him all over the globe. Brian enjoyed attending Clemson football games, camping and kayaking, going to concerts and the symphony, playing and collecting guitars, traveling, and practicing his granddaddy-inspired woodworking skills among many, many other things. He was talented and excelled at whatever he attempted. We all have personal memories of Brian, but we will all remember that he loved deeply in his own special and quiet way. There will be a permanent hole in our hearts, until we meet again.

Brian is survived by his mother, Susan Grimsley; his brother-in-law and sister, Aaron and Kristi Bryan and their sons, Joseph and Jacob Bryan; his uncle and aunt, Richard and Kathy Carver; fiancée, Carol Lynn Ybarra and her daughters, Ava and Stella Hutchins; and cousins, Jill Black, Jennifer Carver, and Eric Carver.

Brian is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Joseph and Mable Carter and his uncle, Larry Carter.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Battery Park Cemetery, Battery Park, VA 23304.
