Brenda Caldwell Ealy

We are sad to announce the passing of Brenda Caldwell Ealy, 77, of Smithfield, Virginia on May 7, 2024. Her proudest titles were Mom and Nana. 

She was born to the late Ralph Caldwell and Lutitia Robinson on March 22, 1947. She was raised with her brother Ralph “Sammy” (Ruth) Caldwell and late sister Shirley (Jerry) Hansbrough.

Brenda was the heart of her home and family. She had been married to the love of her life, Roger Ealy, for 54 years. They raised two daughters, Beverly Burke and Brett (Tommy) Xinos. She was the best Nana in the world to her five grandchildren, Will, Caroline, Abigail, Trent and Wade. 

Brenda was known for her infectious laugh and her kind and generous heart. She loved her family and pets with her entire being. Her love for the holidays and family gatherings will be cherished by the family forever. 

The family invites friends to celebrate her life with them at Bethany United Methodist Church on Thursday, May 23^rd from 5-7pm.  The family encourages everyone to wear bright, cheerful colors.
