Brandon Allen Huie, 40, of Carrollton, VA passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025. He was the son of Allen Lee Huie and Sandra Leigh Castillo Huie. Brandon is also survived by his daughter, Emmilen “Emmi” Elizabeth Huie; paternal grandparents Charles “Daddy Bob” Robert Huie and Rebecca “Momma Beck” Olivia Chambers Huie; paternal aunts, Laura J. Garcia, Robin H. Folsom and Susan H. Wright (Richard); paternal cousins, Ami R. Davis, Vicki L. Johnson, Billy Joe Johnson, Jr, Robert A. Johnson, Shaun A. Culver (Nancy), Christopher T. Folsom (Kathryn), Jacob C. Wright, Emily A. Wright (Kaylie), Morgan W. Gagnon (Taylor), Kaitlyn Johnson, Marcus Johnson, Aubrey Johnson, and Logan and Finn Gagnon; maternal uncle, Michael “Mike” A. Castillo; maternal aunt, Jean Lynette Castillo; and maternal cousins, Lilly Maria Herrick (Lamar), Robbert “Robby” Clifton Castillo (Neidra), Jessica Swann (Travis), Travis Castillo, Trevor Castillo, Angelene Thumann (Erik) and Leah Ashley Barton. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Laverne “Vern” Daniel Sansing and Joyce “Grandma Joyce” Evans Sansing; paternal great grandmother, Essie Chambers, maternal great grandfather, Wheeler Clifton “Papa” Evans; aunts, Melanie “Mimi” J. Fabianich (Mike), Patti H. Culver; uncles, Jose “Peppe” L. Castillo, Jr (Lynn), Juan “Johnny’” R. Castillo, Charles “Chuck” Robert Huie, II, Billy J. Johnson Sr., and Terry Folsom (Robin).
Brandon graduated from Kecoughtan High School, class ‘03, Hampton, VA. Brandon developed his love of mechanics from his father, whom he shared the love of RC racing together they enjoyed racing and working on cars together. He started his mechanical career with Langley Air Force Base Auto Hobby Shop, Hampton, VA, Craft Brothers, Hampton, VA and then with CFE Heavy Equipment, Norfolk, VA. And was currently working with Eaheart Industrial Services in Chesapeake, VA. He was a gun enthusiast and loved to be outdoors, especially, hunting, fishing and metal detecting. He was a friend to all, known as “Huie”, he enjoyed helping people work on their mechanical issues. He was also an avid video gamer and magic card collector.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 11 a.m. at Cannon Cleveland Funeral Home, McDonough, GA with burial to follow in Old Huie Philadelphia Community Cemetery, Forest Park, GA. The family will receive friends at a visitation on Friday October 10, 2025 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends and family are also invited to a reception following the burial to be held at Morrow City Hall, Morrow, GA. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Harvest Fellowship Baptist Church, youth ministry, 19290 Battery Park Rd, Smithfield, VA 23430.
