Career and Community
In the early years of her marriage to our dad, she worked tirelessly alongside him in the fields, demonstrating resilience and dedication. Later, she found success as an Avon representative, where her caring nature and hard work earned her the prestigious President’s Award year after year. Her career culminated in her role as Postmistress at the Elberon, Virginia post office, a position she held with pride and integrity as she served her community with compassion and reliability.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who were blessed to have known her. Her memory will live on in the stories we share and the love we continue to spread in her honor. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy will remain in our hearts forever.
A funeral service will be held Monday, December 22, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Mill Swamp Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
