Beth Swart Trimble

May 18, 1929 — December 18, 2021

Beth Swart Trimble was born in Albany, NY on 5-18-29 to Viola and Charles Swart.  After graduating from Albany High School, she attended Albany Business School.  In 1954 she married fellow AHS classmate Richard W Trimble and became a navy wife for the next 24 years.  During those years the navy took her family to both US Coasts and Venezuela. Beth was always active volunteering, painting, gardening and ultimately the proprietor of her own business “The Country Willow” in Virginia Beach which enabled her to enjoy her appreciation for antiques while establishing a dedicated clientele for 15 years.  Beth can be most remembered for her love and dedication to her two grandchildren Harris James Howell (Atlanta) and Katherine Beth Howell (Richmond).  Beth became well known among her grandchildren’s friends as “Nanny”, she was very involved and loved to do whatever she could to support them growing up.  Beth is survived by her daughter Kim Trimble Howell of Williamsburg, and sister Linda Swart Zampier of Albany NY.  A very special thanks to the staff at “The Gardens” Riverside memory care facility in Smithfield, Va., for their compassion and exceptional care.  An open house to celebrate Beth’s life will be held at the residence of Kim Trimble Howell, 146 Red Oak Landing Williamsburg, VA on December 28th from 4-8pm.  Online condolences may be registered at www.littlesfuneralhome.com.
