Austin Vincent McMillian, tragically and unexpectedly passed on March 31, 2021, he was 18 years old. Austin was born in Virginia and spent most of his life living in Isle of Wight County. He was the son of Christopher Vincent McMillian and Karla Rhea Gaddis McMillian. Austin is survived by his sister, Kayla Rhea McMillian; brother, Carson Christopher McMillian; grandparents, David and Kendall Gaddis; great grandparents, Leo Bridge, Jr. and the late Dr. JoAnne Bridge; uncles, David Austin Gaddis, William McMillian, Jr; great aunt, Ruth Jeanette; nephew, David Michael Gaddis; cousin, Teresa Sailnier; and several other uncles, aunts and cousins. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, William Henry McMillian and Kathleen Ann McMillian. There are way too many words that could describe Austin, such as smart, care-free, confident, loving, reliable, dependable, funny, charming and handsome. He enjoyed and cherished his family, his friends, his animals, and all of his dreams and aspirations that we all knew one day he would eventually fulfill due to his inheritance of his Mom’s determination and stubbornness. Except the one dream of beating his father in basketball. In these final parting words, rest easy Austin, we will all see you again in either our deaths or our dreams, but we will see you again. P.S. Try not to steal anyone else’s socks while you’re up there. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, 2 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, Smithfield, VA.
