Annamarie Mullen, 74, passed away on April 1, 2026, after a short battle with Leukemia. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Ann was born on March 31, 1952, in Chester, Pennsylvania. She moved to Virginia in 1976 with her husband to start a successful moving and storage company that employed hundreds spanning 50 years. Together, they took great pride in their business and the life they created for their family.
Ann was the heart of her family—a woman whose love was steady, unconditional, and deeply felt by everyone who knew her. She touched the lives of countless people with her generosity, kindness, and wit. Her love for her family was evident in all that she did, and it was no secret that she was their biggest cheerleader.
Ann was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Norma Laird. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Ronald Mullen; her children Dawn (Sonny), Kelli (James), and Rhonda; her grandchildren Kayla (Adriana), Ashleigh, Trevor (Kaleigh), Hannah (Bryce), Sarah, Gracie May, and Joseph Luke; and five great-grandchildren.
Ann loved visiting the beach, Sunday cookouts with her family, and she never missed a chance to cheer on her grandchildren at their sporting events. Her compassion, wisdom, and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.
There will be no formal services held at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Ann’s memory by donating blood to the American Red Cross or donating to VCU’s Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center htttps://give.vcu.edu/campaigns/61905/donations/new.
