Alice Harriet Lynch

     Alice Harriet Lynch, 101, of Smithfield passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024.  She was the daughter of the late Robert Peter Rasmussen and Anna Christina Kubitza Rasmussen.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Robert W. Lynch and her daughter Janice Kraft.  She is survived by her daughters, Judy Strong (Dave) and Jeannie Michaelidies (Stephen); son, Robert Lynch, Sr (Mary); grandchildren, David, Shelley, Amy, Kimberly and Bobby; and 13 great grandchildren.  

     Alice and her husband resided in Bath Township OH.  Alice was a kind and loving person who loved her family and spent time working in her church.  She was a talented seamstress and spent many hours at her sewing machine. Alice moved to Smithfield, VA in 2010 after Bob’s death to be closer to family.  Alice said that was the best move she ever made.  She enjoyed watching her great grandchildren grow up and attending many family events.  Alice enjoyed her Wednesday card games with the ladies and loved her family dearly.  Alice was loved and cherished by many and will be dearly missed.

     A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024, 11 a.m. at Littles Funeral Home, Smithfield, VA.
